As CEO, Nick works with the Board of Directors to establish strategic goals and manages the day-to-day operations of the Institute.
He leads the Leadership Institute’s mission to inspire, educate, and connect leaders to create a sustainable community.
Nick came to the Leadership Institute after over a decade of work in the public policy and electoral politics arena. He has worked on sustainability campaigns focusing on land-use, transportation, and working families from the State Capitol and throughout California.
He graduated from the Leadership Institute’s Sustainable Future education program in 2005 and has remained involved with the organization since then, serving as a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors for the Institute.
Nick has also held a number of community positions including as the vice-chair of the Santa Rosa Planning Commission and a Director on the California Community College Trustees Board of Directors. A former student at the Santa Rosa Junior College, Nick earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco.
