New Director Training

Each year the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy appoints one fellow from the newly graduated class of the Leadership for a Sustainable Future program to serve on its Board of Directors for a one-year term.

The purpose is to provide training and experience at serving on a board to fellows who have the desire and potential to serve on other nonprofit boards in the future and to further develop fellows’ leadership skills. As a graduate of the most recent class, the New Director will be asked to focus on strengthening the connections between the Institute and Institute fellows.

To be eligible to apply for this position, candidates must be a graduate of the most recent class, with no previous board or executive director experience.
