Judy is a graduate of the Class of 2004. She is a financial
planner and investment advisor with many years of experience
in
socially responsible investing. She is a past president of the
Volunteer Center of Sonoma County and currently a member of
the Investment Advisory Committee of the Sonoma County Community
Foundation. |

Greg Young, Secretary
Technical Leader, Cisco Systems, Petaluma,
CA
Greg is a graduate of the Leadership Institute,
2003. He is a board member of Circuit Rider Productions, Inc.,
and helped establish the Moira Chatton Memorial Oak Grove
in Sebastopol, CA and the Moira Chatton Memorial College Scholarship,
given to disadvantaged youth in Sonoma County.
An avid reader and hiker, Greg has earned
numerous awards throughout his career, including one for his
work at NASA on the Apollo project, and "Best Video Game
of the Year" (1982). He has been published in Computerworld, Datamation, the Journal of Accountancy,
and the Wall Street Journal.

Bob Burke, Director
Bob is a graduate of the class of 2005. He
is an attorney, specializing in estate planning. Bob is a
director of the Atascadero Creek Green Valley Creek Watershed
Council and serves as a volunteer stream water quality monitor
for the Community Clean Water Institute. Bob is an aspiring
GIS practitioner and an avid KPIG listener.

Noreen Evans, Director
Noreen Evans represents the people of Napa, Solano, and Sonoma counties within the California State Assembly. Now in her second term of office, Noreen works as part of the Assembly leadership team to identify and implement the Assembly Democratic agenda as Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus. Prior to her election to the legislature, Noreen worked as an attorney focused on civil litigation and appeals. She was also a Planning Commissioner and two term member of the Santa Rosa City Council. Noreen lives in Santa Rosa and has three children. She loves gardening, cooking, reading, and crossword puzzles. |

Claudia
Haskel, Director
Claudia Haskel has twenty-three years experience
working with nonprofit organizations and education institutions.
She has special expertise in organizational leadership and
management, fundraising, program development, public relations
and event production. Her background includes serving as executive
director of the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, a regional
performing arts and cultural center; executive director of
a national education organization informing the public about
first amendment rights and freedom of expression; consultant
and donor relations officer for a community foundation, developing
education curriculum and teacher training programs that encourage
political activism, and launching a grant making foundation
that increased funding for artists and performers. She has
also served as a board member for the Santa Rosa Chamber of
Commerce, Community Media Center of Santa Rosa, and Institute
for Environmental Entrepreneurism. |

Curt Johansen, Director
Curt has worked to develop high quality master planned communities for almost 30 years, on both the East and West coasts. Large projects that prospered from his vision during that span include Kingsmill in Williamsburg, Virginia; the Vintage Club in Indian Wells, CA; Silverado in Napa Valley, CA; and Hiddenbrooke in Vallejo, CA. He has been the Executive Vice President in charge of all California development for Triad Communities since 1997. For many years Mr. Johansen has pioneered Triad’s commitment to sustainable development.
Curt is a long-standing member of numerous organizations, including the Urban Land Institute. He is active on many civic, city and county boards and committees, and is frequently an invited speaker on Triad Communities’ vision of sustainable development concepts and innovative practices in the industry. |

Ryn Longmaid, Director
Ryn Longmaid works as a marketing consultant in the field of Energy Efficiency and Green House Gas Management. She is a 2007 fellow and has worked as the Economic Development Specialist for Sebastopol. A former business owner, Ryn has a rich a varied background: she has worked as a design drafter in residential construction, steel tank manufacturing and nuclear power as well as cooking in commercial kitchens and working as a private chef to the rich and famous. She holds positions on The Sustainable Enterprise Coalition and is the Chair of the Sebastopol Community Index. |

Tanya Narath, Executive Director
Tanya joined the Leadership Institute as its
Program Director in April 2005. In this role, she was responsible
for delivery of several of the Institute's education programs,
including the North Bay Symposium on Smart Growth and Leadership
Training for a Sustainable Future. She became the Executive
Director of the Leadership Institute in December 2005.
Prior to joining the Leadership Institute,
Tanya worked for Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard.
During her 17-year career with HP and Agilent Technologies,
she held various IT development, support and management positions.
Tanya was born and raised in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. She earned her bachelor's degree in engineering
from the University of New Mexico in 1986 and her master's
degree in business from the University of Texas at Austin
in 1988.

Amie Glass, Program Director
Amie received her bachelor's of science degree
in Community and Regional Development from the University
of California, Davis in 1998. She has over ten years experience
working with various local environmental projects and agencies
including the Sonoma Land Trust and Sonoma Earth Day 2000. |

Suzi O'Rear, Program Director
Suzi has a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and an MA in Environmental Education from Sonoma State University. Prior to joining the Institute in 2007, Suzi taught at the elementary and middle school levels in Sonoma County as well as internationally in Singapore and Hong Kong. |
